I had always wanted to see Scandinavia and had taken a Viking River Cruise in 2014. We were extremely impressed with Viking as a cruise line so when they stared offering Ocean Cruises it seemed like a win-win. The ship is fabulous. There is an amazing amount of common/public area space. Every area has very comfortable seating and it was always possible to find places to sit. There were 4 of us (2 couples) traveling together and we always found space in an area we wanted. Food was extremely good. Portions were a reasonable size so if you wanted appetizer and salad with a meal but still have room for dessert you could do it. If you wanted extra they would bring it. The complimentary wine was very good (we are not connoisseurs) but if you didn't like what was being served on a given night they would offer something different. Service was exemplary. All were warm, friendly and conversational (if you wanted them to be). The ship is well maintained and always spotless. I was amazed that the beige leather wrapped handrails in some of the common areas never looked dirty of smudged. No clue how they are able to keep them clean with so many people touching them. The Scandinavian stops were by far the favorites. They are all beautiful and all the excursions we took were exceptional

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse suite

King size bed. Plenty of storage space. There were a couple of drawers we didn't use. The empty suitcases fit easily under the bed. The sofa and chairs in the sitting area were actually comfortable. There are 2 42in TVs. Probably not really necessary but there were times when we had both on (one with no volume). Bathroom had double sinks and a 5 ft shower. 2 people could actually use the bathroom at the same time and not annoy each other. The room attendants were very observant and would quickly slip in and make up the room in the morning when they saw you go to breakfast.
