We had done a Viking River Cruise on the Rhine in 2010 and loved it. When Viking came out with their cruise ship, my wife and I had to try it. It far exceeded our expectations. We will never cruise on a large ship again. The ship is beautiful, no casinos, photo shop or game rooms. It is for a mature crowd, not for children or teens. The enrichment lectures were excellent. Having excursions included for 15 days was worth the additional upfront cost. Beer and wine served at lunch and dinner is also included, which greatly off set a high bar bill at the end of the cruise.
We arrived 2 days early in Stockholm and Viking Representatives were waiting for us at baggage claim and had retrieved our bags and were loading on bus to hotel. We stayed at the Radisson Blu on the Waterfront in Stockholm. Excellent hotel and easy walking distance too many interesting sights in Stockholm. There were two Viking representatives in the lobby of the hotel to answer questions the entire two days.
The staff on the ship was outstanding. Friendly and professional. They remembered your name and room number, very impressive.
Food was excellent and access to dinning room was very efficient.
