The cruise went to ports we had not seen and we were extremely pleased with the shore excursions which were included in the cost of the cruise. All of the services, food, accommodations, and comfort were truly FIRST CLASS. Viking has far exceeded our expectations. It seems that Viking put their "spies" on all of the other cruise lines and copied every single positive and favorable amenity, and found every possible negative and unfavorable experience and made sure that those things were eliminated from the Viking Star. One of the best things was that there were no passengers under the age of 18 on the ship. We felt so pampered as we experienced thrill after thrill of comfort and truly exceptional cruise amenities. We were so please that we have booked another cruise on the Viking Star a 15 day Mediterranean cruise November 2017 to the Cities of Antiquity (Greece) and the Holy Land. And we have booked a Viking River cruise for this December - Amsterdam to Basel to do the CHRISTMAS MARKETS!
