Went on the cruise to learn more about Provence. On the shore excursions enjoyed some of the small villages and talks about pdroducing essential oil of lavender and producing of wine in Burgundy. We were fortunate with the weather since it was originally hot and then a cold front for the rest of the trip. Learn a great deal about the history of the region, including influence of Greeks, Romans Lombards and religious wars. Some beautiful churches and cathedrals was also a highlight. Unfortunately did not learn much French but am a slow learner of languages. It was nice that we covered very modest distances so could spend so much time ashore. Used the sun deck, including the jogging path to try to keep in shape. The food was delicious and service superb. Out room steward, Bogdan, was one of the best we have had and we have taken quite a few cruises. All in all a great trip.
