I have wanted to do a Viking River cruise for some time and thought this was a good start. The boat, crew and of course the food were great. From the time we boarded to the time we departed the Viking crew was great. There were no issues on any level throughout the cruise. The captain was always available and answered every question. You can tell he loved his ship. The food as I mentioned earlier was nothing short of fantastic. Our wait staff were some of the very best I have experienced- even when rating them against the best In New York City were I am from. Even the cabin attendants were fun to be with. The cruise director was top notch and his lectures were very well done. It was truly an enjoyable trip that met my expectations. The shore excursions were excellent and the tour guides among the best I have experienced in my travels. Well done Viking!
