this was our second/third cruise with Viking and we were completely satisfied. We did back to back cruises, the first one Paris - Paris and the second Lyon to Avignon. I can't say enough about the crew on board the ships - because the passenger capacity is so small, they get to know you very quickly. Tours were excellent - although mother nature didn't give us a lot of sunshine in the 2 weeks + that we were there........not something Viking controls. We had a veranda stateroom and our friends had a french balcony - the veranda is well worth the extra money as our friends had a very tight fit against the french window. Our cabin steward was in and out before we even knew it - always had our cabin cleaned by the time we returned from breakfast. Entertainment was a piano player - he had a good variety of songs and a pleasant voice. Dining on the veranda at the bow of the boat was our favourite spot - although we had dinner in the dining room. The dining room has beautiful views as long as you're not up against the wall. Very well organized when it came time to disembark for tours and when it came time to say goodbye. Food & beverages were excellent - always a good variety of choices at meals and the chef always recommends something for dinner. We travelled with another couple and are planning our adventure for 2017 - with so many river cruise options, we just can't decide where to go next!

Cabin Review

Cabin veranda stateroom

lots of storage, always cleaned up very quickly by the cabin stewards, nice to have veranda to sit and have coffee/tea or do a little reading and watch the world go by
