Bucket list cruise with brothers & son. Overall, very good. Staff was excellent, ship was below expectations. Ship did not meet standards established by Viking on Russia and China cruises. Understand Viking is building new ships for Elbe River Cruises and Fontane will be sold. If true, it's overdue.

Recommend you book extra night(s) in Berlin and Prague to explore these cities. You can do this through Viking or on your own. We didn't book extra time in Berlin and regret it. The Berlin experience was only a bus ride from the airport to the hotel and a bus ride to the boat the next day. Recommend you see the Reichstag, Hitler's bunker, the Berlin wall and Checkpoint Charlie. In Prague, it was a little better with a city tour included, We extended for four days on our own and explored Prague in more detail, spent a day in Kutna Hora (highly recommended), and visited the home village of our grandfather.
