This was our first cruise aboard Carnival. We booked the Glory based on a few important factors. First, it was embarking from Port Canaveral which is an easier drive to get to rather than south FL. The week cruise fell perfectly within our kids spring break time frame. We wanted to stop in Nassau and see Atlantis. Lastly, we were taking the kids on the cruise for the first time and felt that Camp Carnival would be the best option for them as well.

Embarkation went smoother than anticipated. We arrived at the dock around 1130am and within an hour we aboard the ship and having lunch. The lines were minimal and proceeded quickly and efficiently.

As for the ship, The Glory, it was in better than average condition with most areas clean and well maintained.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Do you like "Elton John". We had a Balcony cabin for a family of 4, that was assigned to us by Carnival. Location was 6-Upper AFT, Starboard side. Carnival knew we had children, ages 6 and 7 prior to cabin assignment. However we were given a cabin just above the Cinn-a-Bar. Each night until about 130am, sometimes later. A wanna-be American Idol, sang mostly Elton John songs at the piano bar at the top of his lungs as fellow cruisemates tried to chime in. I'm sure most of the cabins surrounding us also heard the loud piano bar late into the night/morning. I guess a lessoned learned not to book a Balcony guaranteed room, as Carnival does not assign accordingly.
