Our first trip to Europe, and we wanted to see as much as we could. This trip offered great tours in that part of Europe. This Viking river cruise was one of our best vacations. The staff on the Skirnir was excellent, the food was amazing and the wait staff were beyond exceptional! We had a French balcony room that was very nice, plenty of room, large closet and drawer space. The bathroom was small but very nice, the mirror never got fogged up, (they have heated mirrors and heated floors!) the room steward was excellent, cleaning the room twice a day and replenishing towels and toiletries. The shore and port excursions were very well planned and guides were very well informed. I highly recommend taking the tour to the top of the Cologne cathedral. This was probably one of the scariest thing I've done, as I'm not fond of heights, but I'm so glad I did it. Going up to the top of this cathedral was breathtaking and filled with so much information on the building and the maintenance. We went on all the included tours and a couple of the extra ones offered and enjoyed them all. Free internet is offered, but it was very spotty at times. We loved this trip and are looking forward to taking another Viking trip. I highly recommend this trip!

French Balcony

Very nice accommodations. We had a French balcony room so we could not sit outside but could open up the door. We found we liked being up on deck, you can see both sides of the river, enjoy the scenery, and visit with the other guests.
