We chose this cruise as an introduction to river cruising, and to get a good sense of the route from Budapest to Amsterdam. Although I had seen quite a bit of Europe growing up, my wife had not had the same opportunity. This was a great chance to get her familiar with the European way of life.

The cruise was excellent from start to finish. Good accommodations; wonderful and varied food; super people enjoying the cruise with us; amazing hospitality by all crew members, especially the frontline staff and the stateroom stewards; great venues; who culd ask for anything more?

My only regret is that we didn't stay longer in Budapest, Vienna and Cologne - but it gives us something to look forward to visiting some time in the future.

Deluxe Stateroom

Cabin F

Great facilities - a little cramped, but certainly enough room to move around in, given our tendency to spend more time "up top" or on excursion. Very clean, and our stateroom steward was second to none.

Port Reviews

Budapest

Very interesting tour; would love to come back again and take a more detailed look.

Vienna

Very enjoyable - need to go back and delve a little deeper into this beautiful city.

Passau

Very interesting city. Glad we made it before the floods came!

Regensburg

The tour of Regensburg, and the subsidiary tour of the BMW factory, were very worthwhile. Highly enjoyable.

Nuremberg

The tour of the Nuremberg Castle was very enjoyable, but I was less than impressed with the bus tour of the city. It was rushed, and there just wasn't enough time to get a feel for the historical importance of the city.

Wurzburg

By the time we got to Wurzburg, we had pretty much had our fill of ostentatious palaces and churches. So this was rather more of the same. That said, the self-guided tour of the city was quite enjoyable.
