Viking is the top river cruiser so we chose Viking for an Ocean cruise. We weren't disappointed. The Viking Star lived up to the Viking reputation. First Class all the way. For the maiden cruise, everything went surprisingly well. Service was great! Food was as expected, excellent. The specialty restaurants (reservations required) were exceptional. The ports of call were outstanding. All the excursions in the ports were informative and fun. We loved the entertainers. Of course the adult beverages were too good! The whole trip was exceptional. My only complaint would be to extend the cruise so we could spend more time on Santorini (the sunset is supposed to be fantastic), visit more Greek Islands, more time to explore the mainland of Greece (would have liked to see some of the Greek ruins in the mountains) and a full day in Istanbul (we missed several sights). As expected, WIFI was marginal.
