This was our second time on the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda. We had an excellent time. We enjoyed the thalassotherapy pool in the Solarium. However, we were not able to understand why some nights it closed earlier than other nights. We would have liked to see it stay open later at night so we could have enjoyed it after we went to the shows, etc...
The shows on this ship were all excellent. They were probably the best that I have ever seen while on a cruise. Also, during many shows the cast members stood at the back of the theater and thanked everyone for coming.
Our room stewards were excellent as well. They knew us by name by the end of the first night. They remembered our preferences and were quick to make sure that we had whatever we needed.
Our cabin was very quiet. There was a lot of storage, including closet space, cabinets with shelves and drawers. Our stateroom stewards, Joseph and Seon, were excellent. They were very friendly and knew our names by the end of the first day. They were always around and more than happy to help in any way that they could.
Bermuda is beautiful. We loved Horseshoe Bay. We enjoyed walking around St. George and Hamilton. We enjoyed the aquarium. Last time that we visited Bermuda we enjoyed going to the caves. What we did not enjoy was the transportation. Most of the time the ferry runs on the hour and buses run on the half hour. We bought 2 day passes. I believe is was about $63 for two 2-day passes. It seemed like almost every time we were were approaching a ferry terminal the ferry had just left and we had to wait about an hour. The same thing happened with the buses and we would wait 30 minutes or so. Also, in the afternoon with people who live in Bermuda are getting out of work the buses can get crowded and many people end up standing up. This was our second trip to Bermuda and we had hoped to have a better handle on the bus/ ferry schedule, but we didn't. We spend a lot of time waiting. I didn't check the taxi fares, but I wonder if taking taxi's would have been cheaper? Another alternative is to rent a scooter. It seems that it takes forever to get anywhere on Bermuda. If we go again then maybe the 3rd time will be the charm with planning and transportation!
