Chose this cruise primarily for the itinerary, and it did not disappoint. Sailed from Rome and stopped at Sorrento, Amalfi, Taormina (Sicily), Mykonos, and Santorini before ending in Athens. So many choices for Sorrento and Amalfi.
We did a small boat tour to Capri, which was excellent at Sorrento. Did not book through Azamara as we did not like any of their choices and they were very over priced. The tour was great, though really was transportation to Capri and a lap around the island. Max 12 passengers, so very comfortable. Would recommend.
In Amalfi we wandered through the town and shops. The duomo is a must-see. Then took the bus to Ravello and a visit to Villa Rufolo and the fabulous views.
Enjoyed this cabin location! Positioned on the back of the ship, there was little wind and fabulous views of the day's port of call during sail away. Very relaxing to look over the ship's wake. No problems, other than the thermostat. That thing needs to be trashed. Cabin is not large, but is adequate. And being three decks below Windows Café removed us from the noise of the restaurant.
What's not to love about Rome!
Lots of choices for things to do on the gorgeous Amalfi coast. We self-guided (wandered around) Amalfi and Ravello. Loved them both!
Not a lot here, especially given a short stop (6 or 7 hours). But it is a nice town to wander through. Greco Roman theatre is a must-see for anyone who appreciates history.
Self-guided trip to Delos was great. Ferry trip to/from was fun - much better than a being in a bus. Wandered around alleyways of Mykonos Town. Very interesting place!
