Our family had a great time on Breakaway, New York to Bermuda, but this ship may not be for everyone.

First about the reviewer, I am retired. My wife and I are very experienced cruisers, having lost track of how many cruises we have been on. We have been on all the major cruise lines and most multiple times. We enjoy lines with an upbeat crew and passenger base, and heavily weight food quality and entertainment in our cruise choices. We have never been on a cruise we did not enjoy, but like most cruisers, some lines appeal to us more than others.

We chose NCL Breakaway specifically because our children and grandchildren would be attending. As such, we wanted to pick a ship with amenities that would appeal to the grandkids and would still be appealing to the eight adults in the group. We thought Breakaway would meet our needs quite well. We also wanted a great port city add on, which we found in New York, and we wanted an interesting itinerary for the kids. Having been to Bermuda previously, we knew everyone would enjoy the island.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Aft, port side, convenient to dining and buffet. Dockside view at Kings Wharf. Quiet. Lacks bedside power outlets. Long walk to showrooms and gangway in Bermuda. Adequate storage. Good bathroom. Lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable until last two days.
