I choose this cruise because it had very good ratings on this site. I also like being able to add on Barcelona onto the end of the cruise. The destinations were down the Rhone River in France. First, I had heard the food was not that good on river cruises but that was definitely not the case. The food was excellent and reflected the cities that we stopped in. The wine was flowing freely during lunch and dinner which was excellent. The service was top notch. Everyone was helpful from the people who cleaned the cabin to the servers in the restaurant. The ship was not that large which was perfect as we got such personal attention.

The tours were also excellent. In every city we had a good choice and the fact that we had tour guides that were local and spoke beautiful English and French added to the charm of the tour. Between the wine tour, the truffle tour and the artist tour I can't say enough about how terrific the tours were. We met great people from all over the world which only added to the experience. Even the entertainment at night was wonderful. It was a small performing area but the performers were well received.

The boat was nice, no bad room really, although I was on the top level which was nice. After the cruise we took a bus to Barcelona ( a long ride I might add) but we stayed at a great hotel, Le Meridian, had a nice tour the first morning and we were well taken care of. I definitely recommend this cruise line and I am sure I will be a returning customer.

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom with Fixed Window

Cabin D

The cabin was fine.. Decent size for a cruise. The shower was very nice although the bathroom was a little small. The TV was a waste which was ok but they say they provided internet but we never had service so don't count on that. We did not have a balcony but we did have full floor to ceiling windows so we could open them up and enjoy the scenery. I think this is an older riverboat. I think the newer ones are a little nicer, but it doesn't affect the cruise enjoyment one bit!
