We chose the particular trip because we love snorkeling and that was the focus of the cruise. It was the best snorkeling of our lives---and we've been a LOT of places including Bora Bora Tahiti on the Paul Gaugain. The coral, fish, color, clarity of water were all A+ (not at every snorkel site but overall.)
The boat would just be there at these incredible ribbon reefs off shore. They had a lift on the back so it was super easy access to the water. They carried a glass bottom boat to entertain the non-snorkelers and haul us in to shore when we did island snorkels.
The big surprise was the boat, crew and food. Udo was the purser and he just made things work for everyone. The food was excellent and there were not too many people so you got to know each other. Mostly they were British or Australian and we're Americans so lots of interesting conversations.
We were not traveling with children but there were a few and the crew really made them feel welcome. (They were great kids..engaged and enjoying the adventure.)
We would definitely go again.
We had the best category cabin and really felt it was worth the difference in price. But we're older...
