I chose the Norwegian Dawn because it was the port of Boston and going to Bermuda. I traveled with my mom and two other friends. Collectively we have take more than 40 cruises. We had never been to Bermuda. When arriving on the ship we were not greeted with refreshments of any type. We went to O'Sheehan's to grab a bite a bite. We each ordered pub fare like a burger, fajitas, wings, and a sandwich. None of us could eat the food beyond the first two bites. The food was horrible and the service was so slow. We then went to the top deck to grab a drink. We were told that there could be no fruit in our drinks due to a problem in the port of Boston. This was just the start. There were only 4 restaurants out of 12 that was not specialty dinning. The Garden Cafe which is a big cafeteria is not my style when I want to eat a meal. I can have that anywhere.

The main dinning room was beautiful, The Venetian. Our server Neil was wonderful. He was attentive and friendly and made the dinning experience what you expect on a cruise.

The Bamboo was really good the one time we got a reservation. I would suggest you reserve as soon as you get on the ship all of your dinners.

Our cabin was nice and the bathroom size was comfortable. We had a balcony which is a must. We watched dolphins and the boats for the Americas Cup have trial races next to us for 3 days. There were 2 different days where out toilet would not flush. They had a problem with the plumbing and the ship had just been refurbished 3 weeks prior. One day 4 a pipe broke in the room next to us and they had to have blowers for 2 days. It was very noisy. On day 5 a chemical smell that was so powerful drove out most of us out of our rooms in our section. Even being on the balcony was . People were coughing, red eyes, and nausea due to fumes. It was reported and went away a few hours later but we could not be in our cabins for close to 4 hours. We were never told why but assume they were staining and using varnish. It was unsettling. We only saw our cabin person twice and we had to ask for new towels and shower supplies multiple times.
