We booked this cruise as we wanted to see Vanuatu and for a relaxing break. Despite all the negative reviews we read one week before our cruise, we enjoyed it very much. This was our fifth cruise and third time with Princess. Princess still stands out for staff friendliness, quality of food and service compared with other cruise lines. Although the ship is showing its age on the outside on some spots, we found it was meticulously maintained inside and outside and we experienced no issues with plumbing or other things as described by some reviewers. We had for the first time an inside cabin, which exceeded our expectations. The entertainment on board was good, some shows better than others, but what we really like was the variety of different entertainment venues at night. We have cruised on Royal Caribbean before and entertainment was appalling compared with what was offered here.
The cabin was spacious enough for us, sufficient room to store all our belonging, were missing a chair, there was only one stool available. Beds very comfortable. Clean. Showers surprisingly spacious compared to other cruise lines
Embarking process was smooth very well organised
Very friendly people, lots of stalls and singing when we disembarked which made us fell very welcome
Beautiful snorkelling here
We took the bus to tour the centre of Noumea and stayed and Bay des Citrons and another one, beaches were not great, no reef, snorkelling diappointing
