St. Petersburg was on our bucket list is the reason we chose this cruise. We are loyal Princess cruisers. This is the first time on the Regal. Getting embarkation and disembarkation was excellent. The Regal takes some time getting used to as the limited access to the Horizon Court by elevator. Also the way the food court is laid out you might think your dining companion is on one side and they are seated on the opposite side as the food areas are open ended. Very different from other Princess ships. Our cabin location was fine as we were just a bit front of middle. Easy access to either showroom. The ship is very long and if you have mobility issues it can be a challenge. Entertainment and Activities were as expected which was good as we had previous had not seen any of the shows presented. Princess showroom has narrow seats, no place for beverages i.e. pull out table. Also, sitting downstairs on far right or left one cannot have a very good view of the show. Exiting the showroom can be a challenge, but our cruise director was so good that most of us remained seated to hear his closing remarks and humor. Our room steward was fantastic, having 19 years seniority with Princess. By day 2 he knew exactly our schedules and our needs. One glitch in the dining room if you have personal choice dining and are seated at a table larger than 6 getting to the show on time can be a challenge. A tip for tour excursions, we tool Alla tours instead of Princess in St. Petersburg; it was a small group and FANTASTIC! Wish we had used this agency for all the Baltic ports. This was one of our BEST trips, weather, cruise personnel and sailing companions. We cruise as a couple so love meeting other travelers. Would I go again? You bet in a hot minute.
Cabin location excellent for the size of the ship. Amenities as expected; room steward EXCELLENT. Balcony on the small size; should have smaller chairs or eliminate the table; very difficult to move around without shuffling table or chairs around.
As we had been in Berlin before we just walked to Warnermunde and enjoyed the bakeries, the street entertainers, the shops EVERYTHING
