We have always wanted to cruise through the Panama Canal. When the time and opportunity came up, we booked it. Going through the canal was spectacular...a once in a lifetime experience. To think that this was built over 100 years ago without modern equipment and tools is astounding. It was a great experience to go through the canal. The cruise ports were just okay. San Juan deal sur and Puntarenas are developing cruise ports in developing nations. We like adventurous and challenging excursions and were disappointed with the selection in these ports. I made independent reservations in both Colombia and Aruba. We enjoyed those much more than the ones we booked through Princess. The Princess tours were crowded and moved very slowly....felt like cattle being herded!

The island princess ship was okay. Princess recently added more balcony cabins at the expense of the promonade deck. This was a 15 day cruise with many at sea days. I didn't like not having a deck to walk during the day...especially one that provides some shade.

We loved the "Movies under the stars". We watched the movie nearly every evening. The movies were recently released movies....and I loved the popcorn, blankets and movie pillows!

Cabin was nice...had some shade for the heat in the middle of the day. I'm really happy that princess does not allow smoking on the balconies
