Pride of America Cruise Review by mystang52

- Destination: Hawaii
- Cabin Type: Family Oceanview Picture Window
The last 2 days are in Kuaii, with the ship departing 2 PM on the second day. We opted to stay on board that last day, but there is a nice looking beach just a few minutes walk so that is a good option.
We were never fans of any cruise singer/dancer entertainment, and it applied here. But our tastes may not be yours. However, the magician, comedian, and other entertainers on the ship were great.
We only eat dinner in the dining room. I generally eat only fish, and wife is a vegetarian. I enjoyed my dinner every night but once. I forget what that one fish I ordered was, but it was bland in taste and presentation. The waiter offered to bring something else but it was "good enough." The other dinners were very good.

KayakingVery enjoyable. Obviously, cruising with the river current, and with wind at our back it made for an easier experience. We had no problem keeping up but one should be in reasonable shape to do this....because after the kayak is a beautiful but not-easy walk down a natural path to a waterfall. What goes down must go up. After viewing the waterfall and spending time in the natural pool, it's time to walk back up. The path is narrow and has some difficult footing, often slippery and uneven terrain.View All 13 Kayaking Reviews
SnorkelingWe went to a quasi-protected cove which made for great snorkeling.View All 73 Snorkeling Reviews
MauiDay one we did Molokini Express snorkel and that was great. This was a . bucket list item for me and it was fantastic. But we may have been a bit lucky in that we had perfect weather and calm water. My understanding .is that quite often (most of the time???) the waters are significantly rougher.View All 13,774 Maui Cruise Port Reviews
