Sail Date: Apr 2016

We chose this ship because we sailed on it the year earlier from Perth to Sydney and loved the ship. This time we were taking friends, one of whom is suffering a terminal illness. They had never cruised before and were unsure about it. It was wonderful to hear them say at the end, 'This was the best week of our lives!'.

Embarkation was very efficient and we were on board and greeted with a welcome drink in no time at all. By the time we had finished a light lunch, our cabins were ready. We were in Aqua Class again and it once again proved to be worth every extra dollar. The cabins were very comfortable. The Celebrity bathrooms have to be the best, with plenty of room and a circular glass shower door, not the usual clinging curtain. Our cabin attendants were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the pre-dinner snacks they provided each evening and their attention to detail in keeping the cabin spotless.

We upgraded our free Classic Drink packages again and found that was really worth doing. We loved the fantastic cocktails, whipped up by Darko, each evening before dinner. The Aqua Class restaurant is great, more intimate than the main dining room, with friendly staff, who know your name straight away and very soon all the things you like. We asked to have the same table and staff each evening and had a great time with those lovely people, who really looked after us.
