Cabin: Deluxe Stateroom with French Balcony
We chose this cruise because we had taken another Viking river cruise in 2014 down the Rhine and were very impressed by the overall experience we had with Viking. The Danube cruise was even better. The cruise/land tour package that we did was called Legends and Castles and we would recommend it hands down. We started the trip in Munich, saw Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria, and then went on to Salzburg in Austria, where the Hotel Goldener Hersh was a very pleasant surprise.
Then we were taken to the ship in Passau, went to the Czech Republic, saw Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest. The staff was excellent, the food delicious, and the cruise a pleasure.
We wil use Viking again, should we decide to do another river cruise, and want to try Viking for ocean cruising now that they have entered into that area as well.

This wa the day that we chose to visit Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. We did come back to the ship early enough to walk to the old town square and it was amazing!
