this was a surprise gift from my son. we have cruised two other times with different ships and out of different ports., trying to see which we like better. embarkation was almost smooth, they did not tell us we had to check oversized luggage, last two cruises I did check my large luggage so I didn't have to deal with it, but I choose to take an extra large suitcase that rolled and put my smaller ones inside it( I have to have a cooler for my insulin and a cpap machine for sleep and of course my camera) we got through one really long line, went through it only to be stopped at the escalators by a guard who said I could not take it and we had to leave the building and go check it in. then wait again. finally got upstairs and the rest was smooth.

disembarkation was awesome especially compared to last cruise where we started at 7 a.m. and it took over 4 hrs to get out. we choose to carry our own luggage off, was told to be there at 7a.m. and it took prob 20 min to get off the ship, get through customs and be outside.

the cabin was the size I expected and very comfortable. the dining and bar staff were very friendly and eager to help. I did not like that I had to purchase the drink package because my son purchased it. if you don't drink alcohol 185 is a lot of money to pay , although it does include soda, coffee, juice and shakes. the food in the restaurant was really good, although the food in the buffet left something to be desired. it was adequate and not horrible but it being a Mexican cruise I would expect their to be Mexican food.

did not like that we got all the way through this long line past the first check point before we we stopped and told we could not take large luggage on by hand and had to get go outside to check it in and come back in. other than that check in and out was very smooth.
