Sailed on MSC Divina for the first time over the 4th of July weekend. It was a short cruise Saturday to Tuesday. I was a little apprehensive about sailing on MSC based on the mixed reviews but I got a really great rate so couldn't pass it up. I must say that my family (husband, 2 kids ages 16 and 23) and I enjoyed ourselves. It was fine for 3 days. The ship is truly beautiful and the Swarovski staircase amazing. The ship is also kept very clean. Service is an area that MSC needs to improve upon. The crew is not as friendly as those on other ships I have sailed, and I did have a crew member be outright rude. The food in the buffet was fine. The key is to go to the back of the buffet area otherwise the front area gets very congested. My only area on concern regarding the buffet was the timeliness in cleaning/clearing the tables. The food in the MDR was enjoyable. Portions were small but I didn't mind. Desserts were great. We only attended 1 of the main shows (Michael Jackson) and enjoyed it. There were not many activities available during the day which is another area for improvement. Live music was available in the various lounges at night and the disco was lively. My son also shared that there needed to be more activities for kids his age although he was fine for the 3 days. Not sure he would want to be on the ship for longer. Overall, had a great time. Good value for the money.
