My friend and I have taken many cruises with Norwegian Lines and the same ship The Pearl which is our favorite due to the spa area and the entertainment on board. I love the formal sit down dinning area. This cruise was mostly for the time away and time to enjoy the spa. There was nothing exciting about the excursions. We were delighted that this cruise had a crew that was interested in the cruise members and made an effort to remember who we were and what we delighted in. There was a noticeable difference in the service and attitude of the staff and crew from the Cruise to Alaska we took in March, 2015 on the same ship. I enjoy the thermal suite and hope that they will continue to improve that area.

The food was excellent and served with style. The drinks have improved and makes the trip more enjoyable. We had a lot of fun with the on board activities and wish there was more then just the twice a night entertainment and gambling. The smoking keeps me out of the gambling areas and some of the smoking areas outside. I look forward to smoke free ships one day soon.

It would be better if the piano bar was not open to the loud Japanese restaurant during performances. Jim the Piano entertainer was packed in the Champagne bar area. He had a big following every night. They need to put him in a place where there are more seats. More of the fun and less of the gambling would be great.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

This cabin has much more room to spread out and kept organized. It's got it's own tiny tub which is beneficial on days that we over worked our bodies. The bathroom is bigger then other many other cabins we have had. I like that we can hand wash things and hang our wet swim suite on the laundry line in the tub area. You have to ask for extra towels. Something to put on your preferences. Women need two towels one for the body and one for the hair. The TV in the room is small with a limited choices but we there for those things in the whole of the ship. We prefer the smaller ships so we aren't stamped by so many other peoples.
