We wanted to take our children and grandchildren on a cruise this summer and wanted to start in San Juan. The Adventure of the Seas offered a great itinerary. We were a little concerned when we found out the ship was scheduled to go into drydock at the end of this season because we thought it might not be in good shape. We were sure wrong about that.. The ship was still in great shape and the crew all the way from the captain to people cleaning the deck were extremely friendly and helpful. It was if they were determined to personally make our vacation as a family special. The food in the main restaurant was very good even though we get the message that cruise lines really prefer you to book in the specialty dining restaurants. The buffet gets a little crowded at times would be my only complaint. The food was good, but on occasion it was hard to find a table. I understand that in dry dock they plan to reduce the size of the buffet area even more which is a mistake in our opinion. Overall a great cruise and we can't say enough about the outstanding crew. We are Diamond status with RC so we have had some experience on cruises where the crew was not so determined to provide excellent service.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Cabin was in excellent condition and our steward Denton went out of his way to keep it clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We brought wine on board during embarkation and he was more than happy to chill it anytime we asked.
