This was a very nice cruise with some ports we hadn't visited before. Everything was as we expected, very good food and nice accomodations. On this cruise the Oosterdam was recovering from a norovirus outbreak and the staff was stressed--pleasant, but stressed, After the first few days when they didn't know if the outbreak was going to reoccur, cabin service and buffet service were a little ragged. By day 3 everything was back to normal. What never got back to normal was mini-bar service and all we wanted from the mini-bar was bottled water. By day 7 I had to have words with the front desk over this. Some front desk personnel were either new or poorly trained. They did not follow through on what they said they would do. It wasn't until I got to the front desk supervisor that we were able to get bottled water in the room. She was most professional. This is the 3rd time we've had norovirus problems on Carribean cruises, so I really doubt we'll be doing another Carribean cruise. Will and have cruised elsewhere. HA handled this outbreak much better than some cruise lines. FYI, we will never sail with Princess again.
