Our sailing was wonderful and the Crown still is a beautiful ship. She looks as great as she did when we first sailed in the fall of 2006. We were very lucky with the weather and seas, perfect weather and perfect seas for our entire sailing. The crew was wonderful, they all seemed to be very happy. We've done 4 sailings on the Crown and this was the 3rd spring break cruise in a row.

Embarkation~we arrived at the port at 10:30, handed off our bags and were through security and into a seat waiting for them to let us on. By 11:50 am they opened up the lines and before we knew it we were on board! First stop was the purser's desk and then up to the Sanctuary.

Sanctuary~ Purchased the pass for the week for $120 per person and picked our seats. There were already 4 loungers taken. This was one of the best purchases of our week and we so enjoyed it up here. All the lounge chairs in the sun were taken for the week so I was so happy that we had done it. I will look to do this for every cruise that we do because it is such a wonderful place. It was also fun sitting with the same people throughout the week and we met some wonderful people up here. On a full sailing this place was just heaven! Now for the negatives up here. Service, well as it's been reported, it's a bit lacking. The service was really in sharp contrast to last year when they couldn't do enough for us. If you wanted something you really had to either get it yourself or go seek them out as no one came around and asked if you needed anything. The Sanctuary was a busy place and most lounge chairs were taken on most of the days. I just love it up here though, it's such an incredible place.
