This was our first family cruise and we chose Thomson Majesty. Upon arrival we thought the cabins were a bit smaller than preferred, but this isn't a great issue as barely any time is spent in the cabin anyway. In hindsight we would book a larger cabin when we (almost certainly) book again with Thomson Cruises. The ship was cleaned thoroughly virtually 24/7, all staff worked remarkably hard and were extremely polite. We only tried one of the restaurants which was on deck 10 - Marco Piazza. The restaurant manager was very friendly and always more than helpful, the food was great too, with a different selection to choose from daily. The service of the staff was also extremely good. There was always a wide range of activities and shows going on through-out the day (Not able to comment on these as we didn't get involved with them). We only booked one excursion with Thomson which was Rome on your own, i would definitely recommend this to all people who are visiting that port. As well as the 'hop-on, hop-off buses' which are available almost everywhere in the city, it gives you the opportunity to see all the landmark/sightseeing musts.
