Viking Sea Into the Midnight Sun cruise was truly beyond our expectations! We booked this in Oct 2014 because we wanted to experience the Viking Ocean Line after our great river cruises so we booked this one because we'd never been in any of these countries. We are so glad we did, I could do it again! We had unusual spectacular weather (per our crew) so that contributed to just a wonderful cruise!

The Sea is beautiful, the restaurants all were better than expected, loved the open spaces and smaller lounges for just quiet times and reading. Manfredi's Italian restaurant is excellent and was filled every night! Book early as you can!! Service was very good in all restaurants!

Entertainment ranged from the excellent Viking Singers, to celebrities from international theatres. String quartet and piano player played nightly before and after dinner in the atrium lounges. We much prefer this type of entertainment over huge broadway style productions. The enrichment programs were outstanding and very well attended. (From art history, to regional economics/geography, to a physician to spoke about President Reagan's later White House and California ranch years.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Our cabin was 5004, and was very nice, loved the heated bathroom floors and non fog mirror! We had no problems with sun because the blackout drapes did keep the midnight sun out. The soft drinks and snacks (replaced daily) were a nice treat, too. The laundry facility was in the middle of our deck and was heavily used. (nice to have on long cruises)

The only downside to the cabin was the lack of drawer space.

It was too chilly to take advantage of our veranda, but did use it to get some great pictures!
