We chose The Celebration again this year for the itinerary ( we did a week sailing from Dubrovnik last year) & wanted to go to Venice & Rovinj this time & were more than happy to go back to Hvar again.

Have to say Rovinj & Hvar were are favourite ports.It's so much nicer tendering at sea & waking up to sparking seas,than the working port of Bar (for instance),which wasn't a patch on Kotor last year,but then I understand it's new stop for cruise ships,so maybe in a few years time it no doubt will be different.It's a shame that the last stop is the weakess.

After a good flight & quick transfer to the port we were unfortunately all slightly let down by the fact that coach loads of passengers were were made sit on our coaches for at least an hour before we even got in to the terminal building,we when had to wait again to get on the ship & then once on the ship we had to all queue up again to have our photos taken & credit cards etc registered. The staff tried saying it was due to extra security measures implimented after recent bombings & that it was due to bags having to be scanned again!. Personally think it has more to do with the fact that Thompson had too many flights arriving all at the same time,hence too many passengers to process all at the same time( & not long after passengers have disembarked.
