I have always wanted to see the Great Lakes; especially Mackinac Island. The Pearl Mist is a small cruise ship (accommodates just over 200 passengers) and was a fabulous way to see the area. Smallness allowed more interaction with other guests and added to ease of getting around the ship. Loved the fact every room had a balcony which enhanced enjoyment of the view and allowed sitting outside in the fresh air and sunshine, although the room air exchange system worked perfectly. Shower was especially roomy. Food was delicious, varied, and always cooked perfectly. A number of tours were complimentary and first rate. The lectures about the Great Lakes, Russia, and Chicago were fascinating. The service was tops and consistent.

I enjoyed my cruise with Pearl Cruises so much I have signed up for two more during 2017. Happy to find a cruise line with these two smaller ships and it is great to experience such new ships as a bonus!

Cabin Review

Cabin Single

Very comfortable. Lots of drawers; ample closet. Bathroom was especially roomy with a large shower. While the decorating was nice it wasn't outstanding, but that didn't detract from the comfort of the furnishings. I did miss having a room safe, but it was a small thing to lack. The attendant kept everything clean, tidy, and well stocked.
