I chose this cruise for proximity of port and destinations. It was a birthday trip for my 15 year old grandaughter, so it was my daughter, granddaughter and me. Cabin was nice. I have done several RCCL and Celebrity Cruises. No toiletries in the cabin bathroom except for shampoo in a dispenser. Asked for an extra chair for the balcony and I was told no it was a safety issue, only 2 chairs. So we put the desk chair out there so the 3 of us could sit. Other cabins did have 3 chairs and I was told it was because it was a suite. I had to ask for drinking glasses and ice and robes. The cabin attendant said those items were by request only.
The ship was very nice and definately family oriented. I thought the entertainment was fair except for the Saturday Night Fever show which was spectacular. Food in the main dinning room was good. At first we had a terrible time understanding the waiter due to his heavy foreign accent, but it was fine once we got used to it. My granddaughter is really into cooking, so we were offered a tour of the galley for $30.00 per person and if we wanted to do the Bridge and back stage it was $150.00 Wow...NOT..We toured the Galley on Celebrity and there was no fee. I also thought the drinks were very expensive and the beverage packages as well, so we opted to pay as we drank.
All in all it was OK, but a little dissapointed over all as I've cruised on RCCL before. Just felt the scaling down of service. We did a Celebrity Alaska in August and it was great, and are doing a Celebrity in Oct. to New England and Canada.
OK...needed a little updating..No toiletries in bathroom as on previous cruises. Just shampoo in a dispenser..Robes on request only. Had to ask for ice and drinking glasses.
