I read on here how people write they couldn't disembark at Bali and why can't the Pacific Eden dock there. It wasn't because of weather conditions, Pacific Eden isn't chartered for those water and isn't allowed to come close enough to put tenders down for passengers to disembark. The biggest con was when they brought out the smaller Bali Hai and parked it along side the Eden but what people on the ship didn't know was the Harbour Master had already said the port is closed to the Pacific Eden and no one could come ashore and everyone's passports had been stamped in the morning to exit Indonesia. A direct quote to me by a head person working on the Pacific Eden was "if you want to see something don't come on a cruise, you should fly there"
Pacific Eden will never stop at Bali for passengers to get off until the Harbour Master clears it to come closer to shore. It is false advertising by P&O to say in their itinerary that Benoa (Bali) is a port of call. Since Pacific Eden has done this Indonesia Adventure Cruise no passengers have ever disembarked at Benoa (Bali). Other Carnival Corp owned ships are allowed closer to shore to run tenders for passengers e.g Princess.
We flew from Sydney to join this cruise out of Fremantle for a 12 night Indonesia Adventure.
Cabin was a good size. Cabin stewards were happy and friendly. First day on the ship were had to get our wardrode door refitted as it fell off and was fixed straight away. Bed and pillows were comfortable. If you have low mobility having a shower may be a little hard as you have to step up into a small bath tub.
