It is something we always wanted to see but I never received a survey from Holland America and wanted to mention a few of the crew who went beyond just serving and made the cruise even more enjoyable! Mark Sauza was always on top of things getting our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed! I believe he was the best server we have ever had on any of our cruises! Also, Mae Yee and Iva ( I forgot to get her last name) at the front desk went out of there way to make sure we were happy with our room. We needed distilled water for a cpap and it was brought to our room within a day from No the boiler room of the ship!! I call that above and beyond normal service!
We took our meals on the Lido deck where Viana Mualifa made sure we lacked nothing and always greeted us with a big smile and friendly words and laughs everytime she saw us. The captain kept us informed on any changes to our cruise ( things beyond his control) and I was impressed with his concern for our safety trying to get in and out of ports ( we couldn't get into one or out of the other) and though we didn't get to every port we wanted to see, safety was more important that sightseeing!
