Sail Date: Jun 2016

This was our 4th Med cruise and even though my husband had said the last time, "I think we don't need to do the Mediterranean again", we decided to take another Med cruise. I had wanted to go to Santorini again and my husband was looking forward to Malta and Gibraltar. We sailed out of Athens. Unfortunately there was a dock strike so no luggage handlers but it still went very smoothly. The last time in Santorini we didn't go to Oia (wrong tour) so went to village on our own. Was a very special day. I also enjoyed Mykanos although it seemed much more crowded than I remembered. Take the water taxi into town as it is much cheaper than buying a bus ticket.

We didn't get off in Kusadasi as we had done Ephaseus before.

We were disappointed when we were told we weren't going to Malta and going instead of Naples. Had done other tours out of Naples so thought we would just stay on the ship. We decided instead to do the hop on hop off bus tours and that turned out to be very interesting. The first route was through the old section and the second route was along the coast and the high end homes. It was a differt contrast and very enjoyable.
