It was a cruise booked with my sister her first ever. Was looking forward to her enjoying all the things I had enjoyed in the past with P&O. Sadly for me the standards are not like they were both in the quality of the food and the members of staff. I've experienced in the past the bubbly atmosphere of the crew all around the ship, making it a happy and plesant cruise. The restaurants have also lost that sort of atmospher were plates sometimes we're just thrown infrount of you and if you asked for the vinager you could bet your meal would be cold before it came. There was no asking would you like a brandy or liqueur after and the chocolates that were all ways served no longer come only on formal nights. Might as well have been sat in a local pub. Breakfast was no different with the food having been ready ages before it was allowed to be served so it was always cold.
Entertainment a bit lack lustre still more or less doing the same shows they were a few years ago. The spa area is some where I have enjoyed and treated my sister to the full monty but the whole experience was spoilt by a pushy beautician who's all attitude changed the moment my sister said she wasn't sure at that moment which products she would like just should not have happened.
Captains party was a joke it was a few nuts you could break your teeth on and twiglets and a couple of drinks and he wasn't even there to greet you he was at the other end of the ship.
There wasn't a problem with the cabin as I booked it for the Balcony but a bit over priced for what it is. Our Steward was someone who had been our steward on another cruise a few years ago and was very good and friendly as he was last time.
