This was our first river cruise. It went on the Elbe River - Berlin to Prague.
The average age on this ship was people in their 70's. This, of course, slows down the pace and extent of the tours and limits the activities on the ship.
This old ship, with limited facilities, does not represent Viking very well. The only exercise you get is on the land tours, and, as stated, the pace is relatively slow. There is no gym and no walking or jogging tract on the boat. And the pace of the walking tours is slow. The rooms are tiny by todays's standards and the beds are small and separated, That's right, husband and wife sleep separately. Most people lived out of their suitcases, as there was very little storage of closet space in the rooms. This means that you stow away your luggage under your individual beds and pull out the luggage each time you need to access your clothing,
