My husband & I traveled with 10 other family members. This was my 3rd time with Princess but my 19th cruise. Yes I am very blessed :-) We were in balcony cabin A501 on Deck 12. The cabin itself was very roomy with plenty of storage. The bathroom which is typical was somewhat on the small side but adequate for us. The soap & shampoo are now in dispensers on the shower wall. There was separate body lotion on the counter, good size. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin steward Ben, kept our room clean.
The location was mid ship on the starboard side. I had heard that the preferred side was the port side but discovered that the captain will turn the ship around for glacier views, which means it doesn't really matter what side of the ship you are on. We were on deck 12 and mid ship making it very convenient to get where we needed to go. Elevators & stairs not too far from us but not a problem for noise at all. Being on the Starboard side gave us good opportunity to see whales. One morning I was lucky enough to see a huge whale breaching right in front of our balcony!!! It was one of the coolest sights I saw the whole week! I just happen to be in the room and looking at the ocean at the right time!
Liked the Coral because with just under 2000 passengers, she was easy to get around and there didn't ever seem to be huge crowds, except for the buffet. It is hard to get around crowds at the buffet. She was tastefully decorated with many little bars and sitting areas.
Loved the location of this cabin, mid ship on deck 12. Close to the elevators and stairs. Not noisy at all. Very roomy with plenty of storage. Nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed. I would recommend this cabin.
Good sized balcony.
Starboard side didn't matter as the Captain will turn the ship around when sailing through the glaciers!
