I have been on many of Carnivale's ships on different cruises but this ship just doesn't cut it. There was one poorly powered outlet in our ENTIRE stateroom including the restroom. We didn't bring a hairdryer expecting one there and there wasn't. We called the room steward and one was left for us. When my wife used it, the breaker was tripped requiring a call for service on it. The room was much smaller than the other staterooms on other Carnivale's ships, and ours was an upgrade with a window. The beds felt old and worn. There was a unusual urine smell that emanated inside the bathroom that seems from improper ventilation or plumbing? We just couldn't figure it out.

The food was adequate. We've had much better food on previous cruises. It just seemed that many of the main food selections weren't as warm as they should've been on both the Lido or formal dining hall. The only plus I can say is that the new Guy burger section was great! This was also the 1st Carnivale's ship that I've been on that didn't have a sushi bar. The pool was also vastly undersized for the amount of people. Not something I would've noted on other ships. On our 2 port stops of Key West on Cozumel there were 2 different Carnivale ships and the Fantasy looked old when compared to them. The excellent service by the entire staff I felt did not match the quality of the dinosaur they were working on. I will never book a cruise on this ship again.

Porthole

Small. Beds felt old and worn. ONLY 1 electrical outlet in entire stateroom!
