My husband and I went to Alaska on the Coral Princess in June of 2010. We decided to cone back and take extended family with us. We had 3 rooms - 2 mini suites and an indoor cabin across. The cabins were well appointed and slightly roomier than Princess. We really liked the balconies - they are somewhat enclosed relative to Celebrity or Princess and so were more comfortable to be out on.

I was a bit worried about the size of the ship but it was really nice to have so much to do and virtually no lines anywhere. There were different live music events in multiple places. The kids adored the teen club and "prom". After dinner every night the adults went up to the Viking lounge and watched the scenery including humpback whales and orcas.

The most amazing part of the journey: we were unable to make it to Tracy Arm Fjord so the captain maneuvered us right up next to a glacier. I have no idea how he pulled it off - there was barely space for our huge ship. But it was by far the most memorable part of the journey. I can't say enough about the captain - he was so cheery. He even served me a donut in the café!

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Our rooms (9234, 9238 and 9235) were superb. Note that the couch in the mini suites is hard/uncomfortable and does not pull out but the two arm chairs are comfy. One of the cabinet doors in our room was broken, our safe broke, sticky tape on the ceiling - not a big deal to me but you might want to know! Location was excellent - super quiet.
