This was our 7th cruise on the Solstice and 39th with Celebrity. We were joined by one of our daughters and her family of 5. The children were 12,11 and 9. So we had a very different experience than almost all of our 68 other cruises. This is the second time we took family with us. Everyone had a great time. When we were leaving the last day in Seattle our granddaughter summed it up best for us with a picture she drew with the following caption, "Thanks Nana and Bapa for the making our dreams come true." Ok enough of that stuff.

We meet in Seattle for two days pre and 1 day post cruise at the Hampton Inn at the Airport. They picked us up and returned us without any issues. The Hampton was great and convent. They provided transportation to and from Metro Train and restaurants in the area. Nice part of staying with them. We went into the city both days via train. We rode the Emerald trolley for a tour and then got off to eat lunch and walk around. Trolley was not as good as last time we were there. Not enough Trolleys on that day, overcrowded and only came every 30 minutes. Other than that Seattle is great, lots of things to see and do for couples or families. On post cruise Nana and I took luggage to Hotel and Kids went in to seattle for rest of the day. They did a tour and visited a play park in Pioneer Square. They had a ball.

As for the cruise, we were picked up by a Limo service that I found on the internet called Sabra Limo. They were late for pickup but that was ok. All else went well. There was a delay arriving at port. They held us in a cue in a parking lot for 30 minutes before allowing a drop off by the limo driver. First for the limo driver. It seems they were trying something to avoid mass traffic jam on embarkation day. After that all went very smooth, we left from Hampton at 10am and were in Oceanview cafe at 1115am with champagne in hand.
