Sail Date: Jun 2016

We have cruised quite a few times on p & o celebrity, RC and Thompson, we decided to try NCL which we understood to be more relaxed.

We booked a large balcony room and was very disappointed that it was an enclosed balcony yes very large but got no sun. Nowhere did I read that it was enclosed, it was like a submarine with a hole cut in it, when other families where out on their balcony the noise was amplified to an extend we had to shut the door. When I complained the chap I spoke to just said what do you expect me to do we are full!!! The bed as others have said are curved so my 6'4 husbands legs overhung the bed that meant going to the loo in the night tricky as there is only about a 10 inch gap between bed and dressing table.

The restaurants had posters up informing guests of the dress code but often people came in shorts and flip flops i know it's a more relaxed ship but this was just too relaxed for us. The food was hit and miss we only ate in the main dining room 3 times. There are cover charges for the nicer food.
