Overall the MSC divina was "ok" at best. If it's your first time cruising and you experience this ship...don't get discouraged with cruising in general...there are WAAAYYYY better cruise lines out there with much better service. I will go over some positive and negative points of this cruise. The biggest negative of this ship and their cruise line is their customer service. The gratuities are charged per person per night ($12 for adults and $6 per children) so everyone knows they are already getting their tips no matter what. No reason for them to work just a little more on improving their service or working hard to impress anyone. That was never explained to us when booking this cruise. Many of the crew members barely speak English and is difficult to communicate with them. They seem to be the ones getting annoyed when one couldn't understand them or vice versa. The very first night in the dining room, it took a good 45 min just to get the waiter to take our order...even after we constantly kept asking him to please at least take the children's orders. The service in the dining was such a stressful and horrible experience that we didn't even bother to go back the rest of the weekend. We were a group of 7 adults and 6 children ages 1-10 and they couldn't even sit us together. The whole nightmare took about 2 1/2 hours and put a damper on the first night of vacation.

As far as the food, the pizza is very good. If you choose to go to the pizza/wine cellar bar then you have to pay for the pizza there and you will get better ingredients (buffalo mozzarella vs. regular mozzarella..for example)... if not then the pizza is free in the buffet.

The buffets don't have bad food at all but there is no variety from day to day. It is pretty much the same menu every singe day. There are no "theme nights with different menu items" like on some other boats (Royal, disney).
