Sail Date: Jul 2016

We were looking for a cruise on this specific date and only 2 were available, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. Having previously cruised on the Norwegian line we decided we wanted to cruise again on this line. To our dismay the Norwegian Sky is a slightly smaller boat but had a lot of balcony space still available for a short booking time. The destinations looked good for the short cruise so we decided to book 2 cabins, one for my wife and I and one for our older 2 children.

The cabins were both very small and cramped, the ship is not that old but really shows its wear and tear of going out all week on 2 separate cruises. Both cabins were run down and not very comfortable. The telephone in our cabin did not work. When I notified someone it took the better part of a day to get a phone installed that worked. Here is the irony of the crew. They kept calling the phone to see if it was working. By the time I had a phone, I had 4 messages asking if the phone was working.

One problem we saw throughout the ship is the crew is not very happy. On many occasions we heard the crew verbally fighting with supervisors in front of passengers. This was not the case on our other cruise so it was difficult to sit an listen to each day.

Miami

The Miami cruise terminal is easy to get to and parking is very convenient. We arrived into Orlando, rented a care and parked at the cruise terminal. The check in was quick and we were on board within 30 minutes form parking.
