This was our fourth cruise on NCL and we chose to book a suite! We had five in our party ( 3 adults and 2 kids age 15&14). We were in suite 11018. Pictures did not do this room justice! I read every review I could find, worrying about space. The suite was great. The second bedroom (noted as childrens room) was comfy for an adult an teenager and the bathroom was much larger than I expected. The room was immaculate and kept that way by the staff!!! My other teenager slept in the main room on a couch that turns into a bed each night and he loved it!!! Said it was very comfortable. The main bedroom had a king bed with lots of storage! Bed was plush and had curtains to draw for added privacy. The main bathroom area was large and had a separate shower, toilet, bathtub, and two sinks. Multiple people could do things in area at one time with no problem. We had a wonderful butler named Roland who was available whenever ,but not intrusive!!!! He provided afternoon treats and always filled our requests promptly- although we didn't make many! The greatest part of "suite life" is all the priority stuff. Embarking was a breeze. We had my mother with us and we had no lines to wait in on check in. We were whisked away to a special area, given snacks and then escorted to the ship!! During embarkation at ports, we also got special priority treatment.

The staff on the Jewel were all amazing. Everyone from the Captain to staff who were seen painting in areas were happy and friendly!!! The atmosphere on the Jewel is unlike other ships we have sailed on. The staff was playful and genuinely was loving their job. I believe that has a lot to do with the direction of the Captain! Captain Frederikkson was very visible as was all the upper level staff!!!!! They answered questions for guests, had cocktail parties, were seen exercising in the gym, had a part in the entertainment, etc.

The food was delicious and anyone who can not find something they like is not trying!! There was such variety and the quality was great!!!! In the specialty restaurants the waiters bent over backwards to meet our needs!!! Read more
