We chose Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas because they offer lots of amenities and activities for families with children, as well as adults of all ages. We also liked the ports of call in Alaska. The ship was very clean and well maintained, but is definitely showing its age in some areas.

We felt that the entertainment was definitely focused on older clientele (do wop music, older comedians, quizzes, etc) and was a little cheesy.

The food was very good in both the main dining room and quick dining locations and the variety was good. I did feel that a lot of the desserts were frozen and the ice cream was icy and not very good. Our kids were really looking forward to all-you-can-eat ice cream, but the lines were long, it ran out on several occasions, and wasn't very good quality (as opposed to our last cruise on Carnival Magic).

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

Cabin was very clean, well maintained, and had lots of storage. Walls are a bit thin and we could hear talking from the adjacent rooms. Bathroom was a little smelly (all the time) and shower head was not working properly. I did enjoy having a handheld shower head. Overall, it was a very comfortable room.
