Our second trip to Alaska, wanted to try RCCL. Embarkation and Debarkation were the best we have ever had. Beautiful ship and we chose an inside cabin this time. It was nice but it was not as big as the Carnival Dream's inside cabins. Meals in the Dinning Room was very disappointing. We thought it would be a class or two above Carnival but it wasn't. We had better on Carnival, Princess and NCL. Being an Alaskan Cruise with the weather conditions and older Guest they should have planned just as many movies indoors as well as outdoors. We didn't care for how they have the best seats roped off for the Gold Card and above members. They also have a "Room". The Entertainment and Activities were OK but not spectacular. The State Room steward and the Dinning Room staff were GREAT. They went above what is expected. Royal Caribbean is all about a "buck". They show more of a preference to the Gold and above members. Royal Caribbean try to nickel and dime guest. It's absurd that Royal Caribbean charge $39.00 for 12 - 1liter bottlers of water. We call to ask can we bring an empty 2-liter bottle to put water in to have in our room. We also brought our sports water bottle with the filter.
