We chose this cruise because we had had good experiences with Carnival cruises in the recent past. But this ship has to be one of Carnival's poorest vessels. For example, the staterooms have no refrigerators... isn't that strange? And, despite the fairly recent refurbishing, the ship's features are very average, with the main dining room being almost dowdy. The food in the big dining room was very average, and the service was of the 'trainee' variety. One could usually do better by going to the self-serve buffet. Very disappointing!

Embarkation in Port Canaveral was excellent; the safety drill was the most disorganized effort we have witnessed in 20 years of cruising, and disembarking was a horror show. We were left with the feeling that "we have you money, now get the hell out of here".

On a more positive note, the entertainment was probably the best we have encountered in recent memory. The house band (the 'Run for Cover' band) was super, and the several pub entertainers were all top notch. This served to rescue an otherwise completely forgettable cruise experience.
